The Study
Program
Professional Practice
is studied by distance education over three terms and requires 300 hours of
full-time study.
There are
two 2-day workshops. Comprehensive course notes are supplid.
The main
aim of this subject is to prepare the student to bea successful Naturopath.
The role
and responsibility of the Natural Therapist in the community, professional
ethics, measurement of blood pressure and other vital signs, interpretation
of test results and the principle of good business practice are all covered.

evolution of the Natural Therapies is discussed.

The
relationships of the therapist to other health care workers, to patients,
and to staff.

The
types and evolution of health care professionals are outlined.

Ethical
practices are considered.

The
College philosophy and the need for education are also covered in this
subject.
This
subject should increase the confidence of the student in dealing with
patients in a clinical setting, and promote professionalism.
