Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is studied through extensive course notes and is designed for use by Naturopaths. The notes explain both the theory and practice of this holistic therapy as well as the basic anatomy needed for massage.

This course will journey back to ancient civilisations thousands of years BC through to the present day. You will discover the medicinal applications of the powerful antimicrobial agents of the essential oils which have been extracted from the life force of plants.

You will learn various treatments introducing essential oils into the body's system. The art of mixing will be explored and the unique massage sequence taught.

An aromatherapy treatment works on the whole body and all the extremities, specifically on the nervous system and lymphatics. After completion of this subject the student will be able to competently carry out an aromatherapy treatment on a patient.
